About Us
Combating Loneliness Through Community Connection
Just Good Friends North West is a charity based on the Fylde Coast in Lancashire. Our core mission focus is combating loneliness and isolation within our community.
We achieve this by bringing people together at regular events to help them nurture and create lasting friendships and providing a meaningful support network to our members.

What We Do
We change loneliness to happy, by increasing opportunities to socialise, meet new friends and enjoy life.
Our Impact
Just Good Friends in the community
The charity was established back in September 2012 by
our brilliant Founder and CEO Beverley Sykes after she
saw first hand the devastating effects that being lonely and
feeling isolated can do to people’s mental health and
general wellbeing.
We have grown steadily over the years under Bev’s
leadership to over 250 members, holding between 1-2
meetings and events per day, 7 days a week. Last year the
charity held over 400 local events in total.

Our Supporters

I accepted immediately, as I recognise the importance of the work being done in our local community.
I have been along to see the group in action and recently joined them on a walk around Fairhaven Lake, it was really wonderful to be able to talk to so many members and to hear about the tremendous support they receive, and the value they place on Just Good friends as a part of their lives.
I would strongly urge anyone who feels they are in need to reach out to Just Good Friends, where they will find a warm welcome and a support for any issues affecting them. There is always someone there to listen to them and then to offer practical assistance.
I offer my very best wishes to Just Good friends as they go forward.
